Quartz arenites are sandstones that comprise greater than 90% of siliceous grains. Grains can consist of quartz or chert rock fragments.[1] Quartz arenites are texturally experienced to supermature sandstones. These pure quartz sands result from substantial weathering that transpired in advance of and during transportation. This weathering eradicat
